No one wants a library

supported by apartheid.

That’s why we support BDS - the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.

Of particular relevance and importance to library, archival, information and heritage sectors is PACBI: Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel.

Get HP out of the Library

You’re likely to find Hewlett-Packard (HP) printers or computers in many workplaces. HP is listed under the Boycott category of BDS due to the technological support they provide to the Israeli military.

If you are responsible for purchasing technology in your workplace, consider opting for brands other than HP. Otherwise, please consider speaking with the appropriate person in your workplace to determine if they would consider ethical requirements for their purchases.

For those outside the library field, you could consider writing to your local Council or an Institution’s Board to ask if they would consider boycotting HP for ethical reasons.

The more pressure there is on a workplace from all angles, the more likely they are to listen.
